An AI document editor concept exploring how users could ask questions about a specific passage without copying it into a separate chat. I designed the interaction around text selection, keeping the source fragment attached to the conversation.
The animation follows four steps: selecting a paragraph, opening the contextual menu, entering a question and reviewing the response. The quoted passage makes the question’s scope explicit, while source links provide a route back to supporting information.
A compact conversation panel keeps the document visible and offers space for follow-up questions. The focus is on making the relationship between selected text, user intent and the AI response clear throughout the interaction.
